500x250

Following her passion for fighting, Lili Rochefort had entered the 5th King of Iron Fist Tournament 5. During the tournament however, she was defeated by a female opponent by the name of Asuka Kazama. Along with her defeat, Lili’s father had also found out she had entered the tournament without his consent, ensuing her to be grounded.

To make Lili’s current situation even worse, the Mishima Zaibatsu had taken possession of her father’s oil fields, causing turmoil and uproar to her father’s company. As a result, her father had given way during the disorder within the company from overworking. Worried about her father’s health, Lili sought out a way to cure her father’s fretfulness. The most obvious and clear-cut way to do this was to reclaim her father’s oil fields, but how? As she prepared her plans, the Mishima Zaibatsu announced the 6th King of Iron Fist Tournament. Lili took this opportunity to enter the competition, knowing that this is the perfect time for her to gain back her father’s precious company.

Young, beautiful and crazy strong, Lili is all about damage. Lili’s damage from counter attacks, juggles and especially the wall are appalling, which will make the opponent not want to get launched or knocked down. A handful of attacks also have crush properties and can grant you huge damage off of them, making Lili’s opponents not even wanting attack sometimes. Being upgraded from the previous installment, this girl can definitely bring a truckload of pain your opponent’s way easily.

Gameplay Strategy

Lili’s damage in this version of Tekken 6 is amazing. Once she gets a juggle, it’s time for your opponents to look at their health bar as they are getting juggled and drain away swiftly.
Setting up her offense is pretty straight forward. Direct Persuasion (14x14+LP) is one of her main moves to start her offense with as it is fast, mid and recovers very quickly. This will allow you to jab your opponents quickly afterward or sidestep your opponents attack afterward and then launch with something like Orleans Sword (14x14+RP) or Capricorn Kick (14x14+RK) for a long and damaging juggle. Root of Evil (14x1414x14+RK) is one of her best lows since it does good damage and does not look like a low since you are actually dashing towards your opponent while inputting the command, so your opponents will think you are coming in with a different type of attack. Switching this up with Thorn Whip (14x14+LK) is a good idea as well, since it is faster than Root of Evil. You can use her Circle Knee (14x14+LK) to hit your opponent out of sidestep if your opponent catches on to your game by trying to sidestep your next attack. If you know your opponent is afraid to attack, you can throw in her Cloisonne (14x1414x1414x14+LK+RK), which will put your opponent in a big guard stun when blocked, allowing you to start your offense up once again. Submissive Heel (14x14+LK) is also a move that you would want your opponent to guard like Cloisonne because it will put your opponent into a crouch block stun and will give you a juggle on Counter Hit.

One of her best additions to her offense is her new counterattack option, Bed Time (RP,RK). It is very similar to Jin’s, Bruce’s, Lars RP,RK or 14x14+RP,RK counterattacks because it knocks down, wall splats and does very good damage. But the most significant part of this move is that it is totally safe and has small recovery time after it is blocked, unlike Jin’s, Bruce’s or Lars’. Using this move or Cloisonne near the wall would be good choices as they will let you hit your opponent with one of your excruciating wall combos, since they both are safe and will wall splat.
In addition to her offense, she also has some moves that have crush properties. One new move, Rose Pique (14x1414x1414x14+LP,RP), is a 2 hit mid attack that has great range, great damage, and most importantly, you can see if the first part hits to continue on to the next for a knockdown. Lili’s far reaching mid that you can also use as a counter attack, Alstroemeria (14x1414x14+LK), is also a key attack in her offense, as it also crushes lows, is safe and can give a juggle opportunity on hit. Edelweiss (14x14+RK) is one of her best moves with the crush ability, as it easily crushes highs and even sometimes mid attacks for an insane damaging juggle. She also has a variation of this in her Back Turn stance Orchid Ring (Back Turn 14x14+LK+RK) which will make her Back Turn options something to look out for, especially mixing it in with Tempest (Back Turn LP+RP) which is safe and will launch on normal hit.
While she does have good ways to attack and launch your opponent, an opponent with good defense may give you trouble. With only a few poking attacks and no fast, threatening low, she will have to sometimes take risks to get damage in. Root of Evil is not as fast as it seems, Thorn Whip does not do much damage, and Horizon Slide (Full Crouch 14x14+LK) is even slower than both of them. Her attacks with crush abilities like Rose Pique and Capricorn Kick are both unsafe and Edelweiss, while it will give a nice juggle on hit, is horrible on block. Letting your opponent know that you can dish out a ton of damage at anytime is one of the things you must prove to your opponent while playing Lili. Keeping a steady, but smart offense is good too, even though you will have to sometimes risk throwing out an unsafe launcher for high risk, but high reward.
